Presented by Dr. Tadhg Daly and Kate Preston, Ministry of Justice.

Tadhg and Kate both work on the analysis of the New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey, which is a nationwide, face-to-face, annual survey.

It asks 8,000 randomly selected New Zealanders aged 15 years and over, about incidents of potential crime that they experienced in New Zealand over the last 12 months.

Their presentation covers their data collection methods that achieve a strong 81% response rate, the survey methodology and its unique features, the data analysis, as well as the first and second year results and their plans for future development.

This session was presented at the 2019 RANZ Conference in Auckland.

Please wait in the foyer on the ground floor to be collected from 12:20pm.
If you arrive after 12:20pm, please call Penny Turner on 021 223 2350 to gain access to level 13, as it is a locked floor.
