Due to an expanding client base, we are looking to grow our Insights team and have an opening for a Senior Insights Analyst with a background in quantitative analysis.

About the role

Reporting to the Insights Manager, the role involves you taking ownership of client projects and working with the client to deliver innovative and solutions-based research together with strategic insights and recommendations. You will need a strong background in quantitative analysis and have an in-depth understanding of sampling, survey design, and using statistics in a market research environment. Key to the role is the ability to interrogate the data output to identify links and trends and to use the data to tell a story rather than to present numbers.

While an understanding of qualitative research methods is desirable, this is not the key focus of the role. You will also have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring junior researchers toward career advancement.

At Research First things can get pretty frenetic so having a calm head and optimistic outlook will help you stay sane.

Skills and experience

  • At least four years’ experience at a market research agency or similar
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience including an in-depth understanding of sampling methods, survey design, and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of qualitative research methods
  • A clear understanding of the difference between research, data, and insights and the ability to translate these into client solutions
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Proven experience in delivering excellence, on brief and on budget
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A keen desire to help grow the company and introduce innovative thinking
