NeedScope International is a New Zealand-based company with a reputation for delivering outstanding marketing, strategic and diagnostic research. We’re a part of Kantar, the world’s leading data, insights and consulting company.  We’re looking for an outstanding Junior Quantitative Analyst or statistically savvy Graduate with a strong interest in Marketing and Psychology.  Working here gives you the opportunity to work on both local and international business.  Locally we work with many of the country's premium brands. The successful candidate will need:

  • A fundamental curiosity about why people do what they do
  • An affinity with numbers and seeing patterns in data
  • Good rigorous analytical discipline with a strong attention to detail
  • A recent graduate or someone with up to two years’ experience in a research or data agency
  • An outstanding academic record, with a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Statistics, Marketing and or Psychology
  • Statistics to stage 3 level with strong results
  • Advanced modelling skills including multivariate analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple linear regression and discriminant analysis etc
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, R, SPSS or similar stats or database packages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills i.e. the ability to discuss and explain the techniques in 'layperson's' terms 
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • A high degree of professionalism and personal integrity
