Insights Analyst - Wellington

B+LNZ’s Economic & Insights team has a proud history of providing in-depth and objective analysis of the sheep and beef sector and producing robust and reputable information and insights in these areas.

This role will support the Chief Insight Officer in the development and implementation of the B+LNZ Insight Programme, including collecting and analysing information to provide clearly written insights and advice. 

You will be involved with the planning of the insights programme and you will be required to make sure each prioritised insights project is well scoped and implemented.

Your strength in communication will enable you to work with other internal teams to communicate insights to farmers and the public to ensure they understand the implications of priority issues and what actions can be taken.

To be a success in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in analysis, policy and/or research
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A high level of analytical capability, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Experience and capability in identify and gathering relevant and well-founded information, data or evidence to identify potential insights and impacts of relevant issues
  • Demonstrated experience in systems thinking or related analytical and conceptual frameworks
  • Project management experience and capability
  • A strong knowledge of the NZ agricultural sector with an emphasis on sheep and beef farming
